Estate
Grown Pinot Noir Winemakers's Reserve has been
awarded the Vinea d'Or (Gold Medal) two years
in a row by the Concours Mondial du Pinot Noir,
in Sierre, Switzerland.

Our handcrafted wines are produced utilizing the best of
Old World traditional winemaking methods, including
ageing in French oak barrels, as well as New World
innovations.
Cool viticulture climate, care of the land, varietal characteristics
that express the vineyard terrior lay a strong foundation
for the creation of Stangeland wines. Grapes, handpicked
in the cool morning hours, flow to the winery where minimal
handling of the wine, gravity feed, quality assurance
and attention to detail help to create wines of execptional
quality, taste and affordability.
Currently our wines include international award winning estate
grown Pinot noir and vineyard designated Pinot noirs,
Chardonnay, Pinot gris, Gewurztraminer, and Chardonnay
glace. Our tasting room, located in the heart of our
vineyard, offers wine tasting and unique gift items including
specialty sized bottles of wine.

Stangeland
is the only Oregon winery to receive 3 Gold and
3 Silver medals since 2000 at the prestigious Mondial
du Pinot Noir in Switzerland, where in 2008, there
were 1076 pinot noir entries from 22 countries.

Once
again mother nature has come to the rescue
of the Willamette valley grape growers providing
beautiful weather in October helping to create
what some people are calling the best ever
Oregon vintage. I too believe that it is a
great vintage but it is early yet. I can tell
you the fruit was beautiful and the color of
the wines is extraordinarily deep and intense.

In
late August early September, Stangeland was awarded
gold and silver medals in Sierre Switzerland for
two of our 2006 Pinot Noirs. Ruth and I flew over
for the awards presentation and once again our Swiss
hosts displayed their warm hospitality. The four
